What began as a Jewish mentorship experiment on a single university campus has quickly grown into a masterwork of Jewish engagement operating on 21 prominent college campuses across the country and beyond.
Launched in 2005, MEOR’s unique brand of Jewish leadership training, sophisticated text-based study and experiential education programming highlights the importance of Jewish values, identity and community. In just over a decade, MEOR has impacted more than 18,000 undergraduate students, encouraging them to connect with Judaism on their own terms and in their own time.
In 2016, MEOR established post-university programming to ensure that its alumni would have a familial Jewish framework for sustained growth as young professionals.
Now in its second decade, MEOR continues to ignite the Jewish flame within a new generation of young Jewish leaders who are hungry for community, continuity and connectivity.

Rabbi Yosef Edelstein
Rabbi Yosef Edelstein was born in New Jersey, and raised in West Hartford, CT. He attended Harvard College, majoring in English and acting in many theatrical productions. A trip to Israel in his 20's awakened in him a thirst to learn more about his Jewish heritage and, ultimately, to study in yeshiva and become a Jewish educator. He loves learning with university students (especially over coffee). When not on campus, he enjoys listening to classical music, exercising, reading history books, and (most of all) spending time with his wife and family.

Ivy Edelstein
Mrs. Ivy Edelstein hails from Brooklyn, NY. She attended SUNY Albany, and studied English and Women's Studies. While an undergraduate, she began to explore her Judaism more deeply and after graduating, went to Jerusalem for two years of intensive study (where she met Rabbi E). She has been a Jewish educator for MEOR for many years, while also practicing psychotherapy. Mrs. E loves speaking and learning with students, cooking, reading psychology books and spending quality time with her husband and their four delightful children...and one grandson!
